Wright includes West Virginia in top two schools

A couple days ago, news broke that 2019 athlete Winston Wright (5’9″ 170lbs) of Memorial Day School in Savannah, Georgia included the Mountaineers in his top two schools. Wright announced that he will be choosing between West Virginia and Boston College on June 9th. Wright is being pursued by West Virginia as a wide receiver.

Wright is being recruited by cornerbacks coach Doug Belk, “I talk to him every day, he’s a very cool dude. We just don’t talk about football all of the time.”

Wright is a speedy and shifty receiver that you want to get the ball in space, he sees a good fit with that at West Virginia, “Couldn’t ask for anything better, they run a five wide receiver set, pass 90% of the time and you’re on the big stage every game.”

With the Mountaineers losing wide receiver Reggie Roberson Jr. via transfer, they plan to take one extra receiver in the 2019 recruiting class. Wright, however, may be one of their primary targets anyway. When I spoke with Wright a few months ago he spoke on what exactly he is looking for in a school before he goes to make his decision,”Somewhere I can be comfortable at, just like home where I do not have to change my character. Somewhere that has my major of course and lastly, somewhere I can contribute early.”
