WVU Basketball Shoots Their Shot, Offers 2027 5-Star Center

Ross Hodge and his WVU basketball staff are swinging for the fences with their latest offer. On Sunday, West Virginia offered a popular center drawing interest from all over the country.

A 2027 prospect from Orlando, Fla., Obinna Ekezie Jr. revealed his WVU offer on social media. It was one of two Power Four offers he announced to close the weekend.

Listed at about 7-foot tall and 220 pounds, Ekezie is considered a five-star recruit one of the top players in all of Florida. He attends Southeastern Prep and is ranked as the No. 3 player in his class by 247 Sports.

Ekezie also has offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, BYU, California, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia, who sent him his other recent offer, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami (FL), North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Virginia and Washington.

He even has an offer to stay home and play for UCF, located right in the Orlando area.
