For their second signing of the day, the WVU basketball program announced the signing of 2026 recruit Kingston Whitty to a grant-in-aid for the 2026-27 season.

Whitty is a 6-foot-2 guard from Mableton, Georgia, and currently attends Christ School in Arden, North Carolina. Whitty committed last month in early October.

โ€œWe feel Kingston is one of the most underrated guards in the country,โ€ WVU head coach Ross Hodge said in a statement. โ€œHe is a great player but even better person. His character and work ethic will fit perfectly with our program. He is a natural competitor who works at a high level.โ€

Last year, Whitty averaged 10.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 51% from the floor and 33% from 3-point range at Holy Innocents Episcopal in Georgia.
