List of WVU Football Alumni to Earn Super Bowl Ring
Super Bowl Sunday is finally here! And in honor of the biggest game of the year, it’s time to remember the WVU football alumni who will forever be called Super Bowl champions. These players went from West Virginia to the pinnacle of the sport at some point in their careers.
This is list is a mix of Pro Bowlers, backups given an opportunity on the biggest stage, those lucky to just be along for the championship ride and even a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Howley also stands as the answer to the trivia question of being the only player to ever win Super Bowl MVP in a losing effort. He did so in Super Bowl V, a game Dallas lost to Johnny Unitas and Baltimore Colts. Howley, however, would claim a Super Bowl championship the next year in Super Bowl VI.
