Top 2026 PG Kingston Whitty Commits to WVU Basketball

Ross Hodge’s 2026 class continues to take shape, adding the commitment of a nationally recognized point guard on Tuesday.

Kingston Whitty, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect out of Christ School in North Carolina, locked in with Hodge and his staff, per a report from Travis Braham of 247 Sports.

Whitty’s commitment comes a couple weeks after his official visit to West Virginia.

Whitty, originally from Atlanta, Ga., averaged 10.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

ESPN has Whitty as a four-star guard and the 27th-ranked point guard nationally. 247 Sports ranks Whitty as the 168th recruit in 2026 along with No. 17 out of all point guards.

Whitty has offers from Belmont, Binghampton, Boston University, Bradley, Chattanooga Fordham, George Mason, Holy Cross, Jackson State, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Loyola Maryland, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Northeastern, Northern Iowa, Old Dominion, Stetson and Youngstown State.

He also visited Kennesaw State recently.
