The Texas Rangers making quick work of the Arizona Diamondbacks ends up doing WVU a favor. How so? Well, because the World Series is now over and will not need a seventh game, West Virginia’s upcoming game against BYU will move up to the main network.

Originally scheduled to be televised on FS1, the game will now air on FOX. And of course, the Mountaineers will be back playing under the lights at night.

Winning their first noon game of the season earned the Mountaineers another opportunity to be in a prime-time once again. Hours after West Virginia beat UCF 41-28 on Saturday afternoon, the Big 12 announced WVU will be play another night game.

The game will kickoff at 7 pm ET from Milan Puskar
Stadium in Morgantown.

West Virginia now sits at 5-3 (3-2) and is one win shy of bowl eligibility, something the program failed to achieve last season. A win and WVU clinches a postseason opportunity with their sixth win of the season.
