WVU Football Considering Taking Chance on 2026 Virginia Safety
In addition to looking at Virginia Tech commits, the WVU football staff is searching all over Virginia to find future Mountaineers.
West Virginia even extended an offer to Jayden Ballard, a 2026 safety out of Manchester High School in Midlothian, Va. earlier in the week.
Despite being committed to another school, Ballard posted about his WVU offer on social media. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Ballard committed to Buffalo in late June, but could now certainly be persuaded to test his talents on a bigger stage inside a Power Four conference.
Even though he’s sill hoping to earn more recognition from national recruiting services, Ballard does also have almost 20 Division I offers still on the table.

Great “get”, the #70 ranked tight end in the nation according 247Sports. 60 P4 teams, and we lock up #70! no offense to the kid, but I wouldn’t be bragging about this.
