WVU Football Competing Against Other P4s for Popular JUCO Edge
One of the recent recruits offered by the WVU football staff stands out for multiple reasons.
Jaylen Anderson, a junior college edge rusher, announced his West Virginia offer on Thursday. Listed at about 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, Anderson is a product of Slidell,La. and currently attends Pearl River Community College.
Now months after committing to transfer to FIU in late June, several notable programs are pursing his services. Prior to WVU, Colorado and Vanderbilt both sent offers to Anderson.
He also has offers from about 30 Division I schools, including Appalachian State, FAU, Fresno State, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Liberty, Memphis, North Texas, Temple, Toledo, Troy, Tulsa, UNLV, UTSA and Western Kentucky.
As of Oct. 1, Anderson had 36 total tackles, nine tackle for a loss, two forced fumbles and a pick-6.
