As the WVU football staff continues to finalize their 2025 recruiting class, there’s still room for a few more players. One of those players could be three-star Zeke Chinwike.

While also announcing he will commit “soon,” Chinwike actually added optimism about him becoming a Mountaineer by revealing West Virginia as one of his top five schools on Wednesday. WVU is listed along with Connecticut, East Carolina, JMU and Virginia Tech.

“I am truly blessed to be in this position that I am right now. I truthfully appreciate each and every coach that has communicated with me and offered me a position at their program. Right now, these are my top 5 schools. Committing Soon,” said Chinwike in a post on X (Twitter).

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 242 pounds, Chinwike is a product of Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, Va. Most project him as a defensive end in college, but On3 Sports does show him as a tight end. Chinwike’s WVU offer is one of his more recent ones, coming on May 6.

Both Rivals and 247 Sports award Chinwike three stars and rank him as among the top 50 players in the state.

Chinwike also has offers from schools like Charlotte, Elon, Kent State, Marshall and Troy.
