WVU Football Lands JUCO DL Adam Tomczyk

Adam Tomczyk gives the WVU football staff another player for their defensive line, signing on to become a Mountaineer on Wednesday.
Tomczyk (6-foot-3 and 250 pounds) comes from being a first team All-Conference player at Cerritos College. West Virginia beat out Arizona for Tomczyk.

He appeared in nine games in 2024 and recorded 43 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and a pass deflection.
Before going to the junior college level, Tomczyk started his career at Utah State. At Utah State, he played in just one game across two seasons.
Tomczyk will have two years of eligibility remaining.

i doubt very seriously ,wvu beat out anyone on the power 4 or group of 5 level,, who ever heard of that school he played out,,,i just hope RR is smart enough to just offer him a prefered walk on,,wasting a scholarship on someone like this is very expensive for wvu,,,chill out on quanity RR, and concentrate on quality.

Arizona literally sent him an official offer on Jan. 5. That is public knowledge and not up for debate. He’s adding quantity because it’s first camp back and he’s expecting more players to leave after the camp. There is a spring portal. This is not the set roster.
