A product of Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, Ga., Watkins is listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds. Both 247 Sports and Rivals rate Watkins as a four-star recruit, even placing him within the top 30 in Georgia.
Watkins made 42 catches for 832 yards and scored nine touchdowns during his 2024 high school season.
To fully show how popular he already is among Power Four programs, Watkins also has offers from Arkansas, California, Duke, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Pitt, UCF and Wisconsin.
