WATCH: Skyler Howard Talks Journey, Trusting The Climb

Published

on

If you are unaware of what has happened to former West Virginia quarterback Skyler Howard, this is for you. Howard is currently playing for the Obic Seagulls of the Japanese X-League. Last year, Howard let the Seagulls to a 28-2 victory in the Pear Bowl – also known as the X-League’s championship.

Many doubted his arm, his size, his speed, his toughness and everything under the sun. One thing is for certain though, he proved everyone wrong. Howard is one of only 7 quarterbacks to lead the Mountaineers to a 10 win or more season. During his time as the Mountaineer start he threw for 7,302 yards- which ranks him 4th in school history and 60 touchdowns (3rd in school history).

Since his days in Morgantown, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent, but did not stick around long and has since revive his career playing in Japan in hopes of making it back to the NFL.

Below, Skyler talks about his journey and how he is “Trusting the Climb”.
