WVU Staff Awards 2025 3-Star DB Offer Due to Size, Ball Skills

The Mountaineers sent another offer to a three-star defensive back. Florida native George Mullins tweeted about his offer from the WVU football program on Monday.
Mullins (6-foot-2, 170 pounds) is a class of 2025 product out of South Sumter High School in Bushnell, Florida, showing WVU’s continued interest in Florida recruits.

WVSN reached out to George Mullins to learn what he was told by the WVU coaching staff upon earring the offer. He replied, “they like my film, they like my size and they think that I could play ball at the next level.”
Mullins also described himself as a player. “I would describe myself as a dawg. I got great ball skills, I can guard whoever in front of me and I can do whatever the coach ask me to do at 100 mph,” he said.
247 Sports has Mullins as a top 50 Florida based player in his class and the number 40 cornerback in the country. They already have Mullins rated as a three-star prospect.
He also has an offer from Liberty and has had communication with Florida State, Florida, Miami (FL), Rutgers, UCF and USF among several other major schools.
Cornerback continues to be a focus position for West Virginia recruiting wise.
