West Virginia has extended an offer to 2026 forward Maximo Adams on Monday night. Adams is a 6-foot-6 prospect from Harbor City, Ca.

“Blessed to receive another D-I offer from West Virginia University. Thank you coaches and staff for believing in me,” Adams wrote on Twitter.

Adams has received offers from BYU, Kansas, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oregon, St. John’s, Syracuse, TCU, Texas, UC Santa Barbara, Xavier and others. Adams is a rising sophomore at Narbonne High School. Adams played varsity his freshman year averaging 10.7 points in 17 games.

Adams is the younger brother of 2023 four-star prospect Marcus, who West Virginia is now recruiting. Marcus requested his release from his National Letter of Intent at Kansas and is opening his recruitment. WVU’s coaching staff has contacted Marcus about becoming a late addition to the Mountaineers.
