Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones Offers Advice to Star WPIAL Recruit Larry Moon
Mountaineer legend Adam “Pacman” Jones did more than just cheer on the home team during his visit for West Virginia’s the season opener on Saturday. The former WVU and NFL star also offered advice to a top recruit who was there as a guest of the program.
Larry Moon, a 2027 prospect from Aliquippa, Pa., shared a video on social media of “Pacman” showing him a technique right on Mountaineer Field. And Moon soaked it all in and then posted about it on Monday. “I got a great learning experience from @REALPACMAN24 this past weekend at the WVU football game. Thank you,” he said on X (formerly Twitter).

Much like “Pacman” was during his time, Moon is a star cornerback looking to keeping making a name for himself. Even though he still has multiple years left of high school, Moon is being heavily pursued by big time programs around the country.
In addition to being recruited by both teams he watched play in Morgantown on Saturday, Moon already has offers on the table from major conference schools like Alabama, Auburn, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee among many others. He even has an offer from Pitt, a rival both WVU and Penn State share.
West Virginia is actually among the schools who have been in on Moon the longest. The Mountaineers joined the Moon sweepstakes over a year ago, sending him an offer in June of 2023.
Even though Moon will undoubtedly be able to go to anywhere he wants by the time 2027 rolls around, having a former player like Jones could help keep WVU in the running.
For a related story, several key WVU recruits openly talk about their experience at the Mountaineers’ 2024 season opener against Penn State.
