Andre Devine Poised to Finally Earn Playing Time in Multiple Ways | WVU Football All 105
All 105 is a West Virginia Sports Now series profiling each member of the 2026 WVU Football Roster.
It’s possible WVU fans will watch a Devine impact the Mountaineers once again. After a redshirt season in 2024 at Jacksonville State and then not seeing the field last season, Andre Devine, son of WVU legend Noel Devine, could be poised to finally earn his time this year.
West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez even said as much while discussing what happened at a spring practice on April 8.
And as far as how Devine may see the field and make an impact, Rodriguez confirmed Devine is in the mix to be among West Virginia’s returners. He admitted Devine “has shown a lot” so far throughout the spring in March.
Devine transferred to West Virginia to follow in his dad’s footsteps ahead of the 2025 season.
WVU hired Noel Devine to serve as an offensive analyst on Rodriguez’s staff early in the 2025 offseason, news reported first by WV Sports Now.
