Best Virginia is set to begin the Charleston region of the TBT tournament on Sunday night against Virginia Dream. The West Virginia basketball alumni team received a No. 1 seed in the tournament.

Last year, Best Virginia reached the Sweet-16 before losing to the eventual runner-up Team 23. Best Virginia is running it back in hopes to win the region and head to Dayton for the finals.

The first game is always the toughest in the TBT as players are still getting used to playing with each other. Virginia Dream is appearing in their first TBT tournament. The team is consisted of players who played Division-I and Division-II basketball. Virginia Dream is coached by former VCU player Bo Jones, who played for the Rams from 1999-2001.

If Best Virginia wins on Sunday, it could set up a second round matchup with Herd That, Marshall’s alumni team led by Jon Elmore and Ot Elmore.
