2025 in-state recruit Tyshawn Dues has committed to West Virginia on Sunday afternoon. Dues is a 5-foot-11 athlete from Hurricane High School. Dues made the announcement official on X (formerly Twitter).

“After some time and talking with close family and friends I have decided to commit to West Virginia University! Thank you to all coaches who recruited me since the start of my high school career. Thank you to all my coaches, teammates, family and friends ho have helped me get to where I am now,” Dues wrote.

Dues primarily plays wide receiver for the Redskins. Dues has received offers from Akron, Eastern Kentucky, Kent State, Marshall, Miami (OH), West Virginia and others. Dues received his West Virginia offer in July.

Dues marks the first commitment for West Virginia’s 2025 class. WVU HC Neal Brown and his staff have 20 commitments for 2024 as those seniors will sign in December.
