Hayes intends to announce his commitment on September 25th at Aliquippa High School at 3:30 PM. Hayes will be choosing from the following schools: Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Maryland and Michigan State.
Out of these schools, WVU is his most recent offer. West Virginia just joined the mix for Hayes two weeks ago.
Hayes is ranked by Rivals.com as one of the Top 200 overall players in the Class of 2025 as well as one of the Top 20 running backs in the country.
No national recruiting analysts have named a school as the leader for Hayes, but his most recent unofficial visits were to Penn State on September 2 and then to Pitt on September 9th.
For a while, Michigan was rumored to be the front runner for Hayes, but Penn State is the school that’s reportedly really high on his list.
Keep in mind, Hayes is only a junior so regardless of who he commits to, it won’t stop schools from trying to get him to change his mind up until Signing Day in December of 2024.
