BREAKING: Former WVU guard James Long lands head coaching job

Some exciting news came early this afternoon for former West Virginia guard James Long as he was named the men’s head basketball coach at WVU Tech.

Long, played for Bob Huggins from 2014-17 appearing in 23 games and one start.

He was also a member of the Academic All-Big 12 Men’s Basketball First Team along with a place on the Garrett Ford Academic Honor Roll and the Big 12 Commissioners Honor Roll.

Over the last three seasons, Long has served on the West Virginia coaching staff as a video coordinator assisting the team in practice and game recordings along with compiling footage of opponents for scouting purposes.

An introductory press conference will be announced in the near future.
