The release from CCS says that the unidentified player was last with the football team on Saturday following the Knights’ 42-7 win against rival Huntington before attending school on Monday of this week. The Cabell-Huntington Health Department conducted contact tracing and investigations to determine that the Cabell Midland football team (which did not have a game scheduled this week), the team’s coaches and all students and teachers who were in class with the player on Monday must quarantine.
Huntington, which is scheduled to host Wheeling Park on Friday, has paused all of its football activities and is awaiting word on if their game against the Patriots will go on as planned. The Cabell-Huntington Health Department advised that nobody from Huntington High outside of the Highlander football team, should be affected.
