Vaughn is the only Mountaineer named to the watch list this season, and the first since David Sills V and Gary Jennings in 2018. He is one of 10 Big 12 players named to this season’s watch list.
Vaughn joins WVU after two seasons at Jacksonville State, following Head Coach Rich Rodriguez to Morgantown.
The Villa Rica, Georgia native played in 14 games and started the final eight last season for Jacksonville State. He finished with 48 receptions, 803 yards and five touchdowns, all team-highs for JSU.
After following Rodriguez to WVU, his prior success at Jacksonville State and familiarity with the offensive system could give him an edge coming into the 2025 season.
The Mountaineers will open the season at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 against Robert Morris at Milan Puskar Stadium.
