Adding to the WVU basketball scholarship number for the 2025 season, a redshirt freshman decided to return to West Virginia after previously entering the transfer portal.

Abraham Oyeadier, a 6-foot-9 and 221-pound center, will now play for Ross Hodge after redshirting the entire 2024-25 season under Darian DeVries. He entered the transfer portal on April 22.

Oyeadier is originally from Accra, Ghana and graduated from AOSS (Academy of Sports Science) Prep in Corona, Calif. He started his high school career at Balboa School in Escondido, Calif.

Oyeadier averaged 10.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game during his high school career.
