Country Roads Trust Memberships to Contribute to New Championship Resource Fund

The nature of a Country Roads Trust membership is changing, as it will now go to support the Championship Resource Fund, per a release Thursday. Gold & Blue Enterprises, in collaboration with the Mountaineer Athletic Club, is launching the fund to expand NIL opportunities and help boost the revenue-sharing model.

With this, the Country Roads Trust will not have membership programs anymore, making the Championship Resource Fund the primary way to support NIL for WVU.

“I hope that all of those who have memberships with the Country Roads Trust will continue their support of WVU student-athletes with contributions to support Gold & Blue Enterprises through the Championship Resource Fund,” Country Roads Trust c0-founder Oliver Luck said in the release.  “It is essential that GBE has the resources it needs to help WVU athletes excel on and off the field. By continuing your CRT membership through the Championship Resource Fund, you can and will be a part of the success of Mountaineer athletics.”

According to the release, MAC membership benefits increase along with the amount members give. Country Roads Trust members who make the transition will have elevated member status, more priority points along with new perks. Some of the perks include exclusive content and autographed memorabilia.

“I want to thank the Country Roads Trust for its WVU NIL focused efforts,” Athletic Director Wren Baker said. “I am asking all who have memberships with the Country Roads Trust to continue their support in the future through the Championship Resource Fund which will support GBE initiatives.”

Country Roads Trust will still be active and emphasize NIL opportunities for women’s basketball and baseball with contributions to all Olympic sports on campus.
