Florida Pass Rusher Sees “Opportunities” with WVU Offer

Published

on

After Coconut Creek (Fla.) 2020 defensive end Chris Jones received an offer from West Virginia last week, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound pass-rusher was quick to name the Mountaineers amongst his leaders.

“It’s a great opportunity to get a chance from [West Virginia] and to get a chance to play in the Big 12 Conference where I can not only rush the QB, but I can pursue my major of mechanical engineering,” Jones said.

As of now, Jones has listed in no particular order Florida State, Pitt, West Virginia and Maryland as his leaders, and also added that how he “fits into their culture and team style in general” are important factors when choosing a school.

Jones also holds offers from Nebraska, Florida International and Pittsburgh.
