Florida Shooting Guard Chooses WVU

Published

on

On Thursday evening, 2018 shooting guard Trey Doomes of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (University School) committed to West Virginia over Georgia, South Florida, and Middle Tennessee.

Head coach Bob Huggins visited Doomes earlier in September and the 6-foot-3 combo guard returned the favor with a trip to Morgantown this past weekend.

Doomes has great size and athleticism and uses his frame exceptionally well to get to the rim with ease, making him an elite finisher. More importantly, his length is a perfect fit for Huggins’ press defense.

Doomes is considered a high 3-star prospect and joins point guard Jordan McCabe as the only two commits for the 2018 class.
