Jarret Doege Garners Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week Honor
WVU redshirt senior quarterback Jarret Doege is finishing the season on a good foot.
His effort during Saturday’s 38-23 win against the Texas Longhorns earned him recognition as the Big 12 Conference’s Week 11 Offensive Player of the Week. He added 290 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions on 27 completions in the game; he now has 6,143 yards passing in a Mountaineer jersey, eclipsing Pat White in the WVU record books.
He joins Texas Tech’s Austin McNamara (special teams) and the Oklahoma trio of Jalen Redmond (defensive), Michael Turk (special teams) and Key Lawrence (newcomer) in the weekly award. This is Doege’s second time being recognized by the conference.
