One of the biggest names added by WVU has now officially signed on as a Mountaineer. Ohio State transfer linebacker Reid Carrico signed his grant-in aid on Monday to complete his transfer to West Virginia.

Carrico committed to WVU on Dec. 19. While a top recruit, Carrico eventually found himself barred down on the depth chart as a Buckeye.

But despite his struggles to get on the field at Ohio State, Carrico brings some necessary experience to a WVU linebacker room that was forced to play freshman Ben Cutter in a primary role last season and is losing veteran staple Lee Kpogba.

Even though he hasnโ€™t been able to make an impact yet in college, Carrico has tons of talent. He was a consensus four-star recruit out of high school, compiling offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee and many others.

Carrico still has plenty of time left in his college career. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
