Mountaineer Nation Celebrates First NCAA Regional Title for WVU Baseball
They did it. The 2024 WVU baseball team made history, winning the program’s first ever NCAA Regional championship after a 10-6 win over Grand Canyon on Sunday.
And even though the game ended past midnight on the east coast, Mountaineer Nation was wide awake on social media to celebrate the achievement. Many of the comments focused on Randy Mazey’s legacy and taking the program to new heights.
A Big 12 title in one year and then WVU’s first Super Regional appearance in program history the next is one hell of a way for Randy Mazey to close out his career.
