Tight end Treylan Davis becomes the eighth member of WVU’s 2021 recruiting class, announcing his commitment this evening via Twitter.

Davis (6-foot-5, 215 lbs.) is rated as a three-star tight end from Jackson, Ohio. Davis had originally committed to play at the University of Cincinnati but reopened his recruitment last month.

Both 247Sports (42) and rivals (35) have Davis as a top-50 recruit in Ohio, adding to WVU’s already impressive 2021 class.

Davis was heavily recruited by in-state teams like Akron, Toledo, Miami (OH), Ohio and Bowling Green. He also held offers from Arkansas, Wisconsin, Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan.

Davis is the second tight end in WVU’s 2021 recruiting class, joining Swedish prospect. Victor Wikstrom. With Davis and Wikstrom, WVU’s 2021 class also includes running back Jaylen Anderson, quarterback Will Crowder, defensive end Hammond Russell, tackle Wyatt Milum, receiver Andrew Wilson-Lamp and safety Saint McLeod.
