Crowder (6-foot-3, 192 lbs.) is from Gardendale, Alabama. He is rated as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals. Both outlets have Crowder as the top quarterback from Alabama in the 2021 class.
West Virginia has been in on Crowder for a while, offering him on Dec. 4, 2019. Crowder visited Morgantown on Jan. 21.

Crowder chose WVU over offers from Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Boise State, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisiana, Memphis, South Alabama, Troy, Tulane, UAB, USF, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
Crowder’s commitment comes two days after WVU missed making the top four of four-star quarterback Christian Veilleux.
WVU’s coaches seemed excited by Crowder’s commitment on Twitter this morning.
