The NFL season is here, and that means there are going to be former WVU players lining up on Sundays. Let’s take a look at how the current crop of Mountaineers did to open the 2020 season:

Quinton Spain, G, Buffalo Bills

  • Started at left guard in Buffalo’s 27-17 win against the New York Jets.
  • Next Game: at Miami — Sunday, September 20

Will Grier, QB, Carolina Panthers

  • Active but did not play in 34-30 loss to Las Vegas Raiders
  • Next Game: at Tampa Bay — Sunday, September 20

Bruce Irvin, LB, Seattle Seahawks

  • Started at strongside linebacker in 38-25 win against the Atlanta Falcons with three total tackles.
  • Next Game: vs. New England — Sunday, September 20

Nick Kwiatkoski, LB, Las Vegas Raiders

  • Started at middle linebacker in a 34-30 win at Carolina. Recorded six tackles with four solo in the win.
  • Next game: vs. New Orleans — Monday, September 21

Mark Glowinski, G, Indianapolis Colts

  • Started at right guard in 27-20 loss at Jacksonsville. Played every offensive play for the Colts in addition to playing time on special teams.
  • Next game: vs. Minnesota — Sunday, September 20

Kyzir White, LB, Los Angeles Chargers

  • Recorded two tackles (one solo) while playing seven snaps on defense and 15 on special teams in 16-13 win against Cincinnati.
  • Next game: vs. Kansas City — Sunday, September 20

Yodney Cajuste, OL, New England Patriots

  •  Placed on non-football injury list last week by New England

Trevon Wesco, TE, New York Jets

  • Played eight snaps in a 27-17 loss to Buffalo.
  • Next game: vs. San Francisco, Sunday, September 20

Karl Joseph, S, Cleveland Browns

  • Started at strong safety in 38-6 loss to Baltimore. Recorded five tackles.
  • Next game: vs. Cincinnati — Thursday, September 17

Daryl Worley, CB, Dallas Cowboys

  • Made two tackles in the Cowboys’ 24-16 loss to the Rams.
  • Next game: vs. Atlanta — Sunday, September 20

Rasul Douglas, CB, Carolina Panthers

  • Made one tackle in a 34-30 loss to the Raiders, but played 54 defensive snaps for the Panthers.
  • Next game: at Tampa Bay — Sunday, September 20

Geno Smith, QB, Seattle Seahawks

  • Active but did not play in 38-25 win vs. Atlanta
  • Next game: vs. New England — Sunday, September 20

David Long, LB, Tennessee Titans

  • Recoreded two solo tackles in 16-14 win against Denver on Monday Night Football.
  • Next game: vs. Jacksonville — Sunday, September 20

Adam Pankey, OL, Miami Dolphins

  • Not active for 21-11 loss to New England
  • Next game: vs. Buffalo — Sunday, September 20

Colton McKivitz, OL, San Francisco 49ers

  • Did not play in 24-20 loss to Arizona.
