Ohio Safety “Surprised” by WVU Offer

Published

In the world of recruiting there are certain places and states that produce elite talent.

Ohio is one of those places.

And the West Virginia coaching staff is back in the Buckeye State to offer Westerville 2020 safety Rickey Hyatt Jr.

“It was a great offer. The coach said I would fit into the program really well because I am an all-around athlete. It was also a surprise to get an offer from them.”

The 6-foot-2, 187-pound Hyatt Jr. currently holds offers from Michigan State, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, and many others.

Hyatt Jr. does not claim any leaders at this point, but when it does come time to make a decision, the Ohio native says that a school that will help be successful during and after his playing days will be key factors.
