Old Coliseum Seats Available for Purchase

This offseason, the 50-year-old seats in the WVU Coliseum will finally be replaced, thanks to a donation by Ken and Jennifer Mason.
While Mountaineers fans should be happy about the old, hard plastic seats being replaced with new, modern seating, there is a certain bittersweet element to it as well. There is a lot of history in those old Coliseum seats, they’ve been there since the very beginning after all.
Imagine the stories those seats could tell. All the classic games they’ve seen, all the great players that have played in the Coliseum.
Luckily, those seats will not just be thrown in a dump somewhere, left to rot away. The WVU Athletic Department, along with the Mountaineer Athletic Club, has decided to put the seats up for sale, so WVU fans can preserve these pieces of the Coliseum’s history.
