Quick Hit: The Packers release Don Barclay, but he’s already met with rival team



The Packers announced the release of Don Barclay from Injured Reserve on Tuesday. Signed as a undrafted free-agent in 2012, Barclay played in 62 regular-season games for Green Bay, and started in 24.

It didn’t take him long to garner interest. He has already met with Packers’ division rival Detroit. 

Currently, his injury status and availability is unknown, but the Lions have injury concerns across their offensive line that the versatile Barclay could alleviate.

Barclay sent a message to the Packer after being released:
