The Road Remaining for WVU

Published

on

Texas (3-4) – November 18th

With the Longhorns being on a bit of a skid, you almost wonder if they will continue this slide with a tough remaining slate and question marks at quarterback. The Texas defense may be what keeps this team around the .500 mark until its date with West Virginia in late November. West Virginia will need to have its best performance in the trenches versus a tough defensive front for Texas with veterans littering the depth chart. This could be a cause for concern considering the Mountaineer offensive line has looked average at best over the past two weeks.

ESPN’s chance of winning via Football Power Index (FPI):  Texas 52.2%

My prediction: Texas should be even more beat up by late November and as long as the Mountaineers can improve each week in the trenches, I see West Virginia rolling to a 30-13 victory. Too many concerns for the Longhorn offense moving forward.
