The Road Remaining for WVU
No. 10 Oklahoma (6-1) – November 25th
The Sooners have been the proverbial monkey on West Virginia’s back since the Mountaineers joined the Big XII. The ‘Eers are 0-5 against Oklahoma since joining the Big 12 Conference and it is only a matter of time before the Mountaineers end this frustrating streak. Many experts do not think West Virginia stands any chance in this game, but, to me Oklahoma has looked very beatable this season. In every Big XII game, they have failed to pull away from – nor dominate – any one team. Baker Mayfield will be a headache to stop, but that Oklahoma defense has been exposed game after game.
ESPN’s chance of winning via Football Power Index (FPI): Oklahoma 89.2%
My prediction: West Virginia gets a huge game from Justin Crawford in the run game as the Mountaineers sneak out of Norman with their first ever league win over the Sooners, 47-41.
