It’s not just about trying to be great on the field for Geno Smith. He cares just as much, if not more, about being great as a man off the field too.

The West Virginia product who has been orchestrating a comeback season for the ages took some time to give back to those who really need him, even more than his Seahawks teammates do. Smith visited Seattle Children’s Hospital and spent quality time with many of the patients.

In an effort to bring some joy to kids who spend most of their time battling diseases and other serious illnesses, Smith signed autographs and played video games with the children. He talked with them and simply hung out to get their mind off the opponent they deal with every single day, one that’s far more serious than any NFL team could be.

No matter whether or not Smith and his Seahawks team win in their final game of the season and end up getting in the playoffs, the NFC Pro Bowler demonstrated why he’s a winner as a person by offering these kids a day they will never forget.
