Watch: WVU Fans Take Over Charlotte for Duke’s Mayo Bowl

WVU fans will travel from far and wide to support their team, but a bowl game taking place about six hours from Morgantown means a Mountaineer Nation take over.

And even though the Tar Heels have the benefit of playing in their home state, Mountaineer Nation is making Charlotte look like WVU country this week.

Check out video and images of WVU fans posted by the Duke’s Mayo Bowl account of West Virginia fans in every corner of a downtown Charlotte bar the night before the game on Tuesday night. That, of course, meant singing Country Roads.

The Duke’s Mayo Bowl between West Virginia and North Carolina will kickoff today at 5:30 pm ET. For those who can’t be at Bank of America Stadium, the game will be televised on ESPN.
