One of the many recruits to visit Morgantown yesterday was class of 2021 quarterback Emmett Morehead of Alexandria, VA.

Following his performance at the Showtime Camp, he earned a scholarship offer from quarterbacks coach Sean Reagan, which he was ecstatic about.

“It’s such a big program with exciting new potential surrounding coach Brown and his staff that when I heard from coach Reagan that I was going to be offered, I couldn’t have been more fired up.” he said.

Morehead also noted his relationship with the staff and his time at the camp, “From my experience at camp, I can already appreciate how clear and concise the coaching is from both Coach Reagan and Brown. From what I understand their philosophies are pretty easy to get agree with. I spoke with them for 45 minutes after camp today. He is direct and had a real interest in getting to know me and my career so far.”

West Virginia being his first offer meant a lot to him and they’ve had his attention for a while now, “I am a huge Will Grier fan, so I followed them closely in the past and I love their pass heavy offense. As a pro-style quarterback, I love it. The program as a whole is only going up from here. Everyone I’ve talked to is overwhelmingly positive about coach Brown.”

When asked if he plans on making another visit to West Virginia he responded, “Oh 100%. Can’t wait to see the new facilities in the coming years.”
