West Virginia Football Adds Jevaughn Codlin to Defensive Staff

The West Virginia football program has added another coach to its defensive staff.

The Mountaineers have hired Jevaughn Codlin as a defensive grad assistant, mostly working with the defensive backs. This is according to multiple reports. Codlin lists himself as a “assistant defensive backs coach at WVU” in his Twitter bio.

Codlin will work under co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach and serve on the defensive staff under defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley.

He played college football from 2016-2010 at Kansas Wesleyan, an NAIA school, totaling 142 tackles. Codlin also picked off two passes in 45 career games. After college, he spent one year with the Spokane Shock of the Indoor Football League before transitioning into coaching. He got his start as a grad assistant at Emporia State located in Emporia, Kansas.

Spring practice is scheduled to begin on March 21st with the annual Gold-Blue spring game taking place on April 22nd at 1 p.m. inside Milan Puskar Stadium.
