West Virginia Football in Running for Uniform of the Year Award
West Virginia may not have won the game on the field in the 2022 Backyard Brawl, but something about that night could still award the program another type of win.
The Mountaineers are in the running for the Uniswag Uniform of the Year title. And it’s the Country Roads style uniform that’s being recognized as among the best in the country from the 2022 season.

This uniform was created for the return of the Backyard Brawl and offers a rare white on white on white combination for WVU. Blue and gold stripes on the helmet, jersey and pants highlight this unique alternate set of threads for West Virginia. A map of the state sits behind the logo on the helmet, a touch that added a tribute to the region the program represents.
