West Virginia native Jerrae Hawkins, a four-star wide receiver from Florida’s famous IMG Academy, is choosing between Penn State, Florida and Miami.

Hawkins, who was initially going to announce his commitment June 26, but pushed it back to July 1, is now back on for the 26th, the day after Hawkins wrapped up his official visit at Penn State.

WVU made Hawkins’ top six, but failed to remain a contender for one of the top receiver threats in the country when he narrowed down his list to just three schools.

Hawkins is listed at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds and is ranked as the number 26 player in Florida, the number 28 wide receiver and the number 177 overall recruit nationally, according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Jerrae Hawkins, who is originally from Wheeling, West Virginia, has elite track speed, made evident by winning the 60-, 100-, and 200-meter dash in the West Virginia 3A State Championships as a sophomore.

In his junior season at Wheeling Park High School, Hawkins caught 67 passes for 1,173 yards and 14 touchdowns on offense. On defense, he recorded eight tackles, three pass breakups, and an interception for a touchdown.
