Marley Washenitz with Pitt

West Virginia native guard Marley Washenitz announced on that she will enter the transfer portal and leave Pitt.

A 5-foot-7 guard out of Fairmont, W.Va., Washenitz averaged 9.3 points and 2.7 assists this year for the Panthers while shooting 35% from three-point range.

She concluded her season with a 10-point, five-rebound game, playing all 40 minutes against Virginia in the Panthersโ€™ ACC Tournament loss. This wraps up her three-year career with Pitt, where she played after de-committing from West Virginia back in high school due to the COVID rules costing her a roster spot at the time. Washenitz scored over 500 points and dished out over 200 assists in her time at Pitt.

It now remains to be seen if Mark Kellogg and the WVU womenโ€™s basketball program try to bring her home again.
