West Virginia High School Basketball Player Facing Felony Charges for Hard Fouls

In an attempt to criminalize hard fouls, a West Virginia high school basketball player is facing felony charges in a case that is gaining national attention.
Gage Ketterman, an 18-year-old student and basketball player at Harman School in Harmon, W.Va., was arrested after allegedly elbowing an opponent so hard he broke his nose.
The alleged assault took place during a game between Harman and Union High School back on Feb. 27. The mother of the victim notified police about her son’s injuries following the game and an arrest was made last week after they conducted an investigation into the incident.
According to court documents obtained by WBOY-TV in West Virginia as part of their initial coverage, the victim’s nose was bleeding “profusely” for more than four hours after the game ended, causing him to have to be taken to a nearby hospital.

Have you seen the video? It wasn’t just a “hard foul.” It was intentional and happened more than once in the game.
