West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook

The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia Football and Basketball. 

Update (11:25 AM)-
**This morning, the West Virginia football staff extended an offer to 2023 4-star defensive tackle Sydir Mitchell from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey. Mitchell received the offer from WVU defensive line coach Andrew Jackson. Prior to today, Mitchell picked up offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Boston College, Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia, USC and Virginia Tech.

Update (5:06 PM)-

**In the late hours of the afternoon, the West Virginia football staff offered 2023 WR/CB Nathan Leacock. Leacock has not been ranked officially yet by 247Sports. Leacock received the offer form WVU offensive coordinator Gerad Parker. The Raleigh, North Carolina, native has received offers from North Carolina State and Tennessee, while receiving interest from Appalachian State, North Carolina and South Carolina. West Virginia’s offer to Leacock gives the junior in high school his third D-I offer.
