West Virginia’s basketball roster looks more filled out following the return of senior forward Tre Mitchell. Let’s take a look at who WVU currently has on the roster for the 2023-24 season.

Guards:

Kobe Johnson

Kerr Kriisa / Arizona transfer

Jose Perez / Manhattan transfer

Omar Silverio / Manhattan transfer

Joe Toussaint

Seth Wilson

Forwards:

Josiah Harris

Tre Mitchell

Patrick Suemnick

Bigs:

Jimmy Bell **waiting on COVID opt-in

James Okonkwo

Mohamed Wague

Currently as of April 12, West Virginia has one scholarship spot if starter Jimmy Bell opt-ins for his fifth season of eligibility. If Bell decides to leave early, then the Mountaineers will have two spots. It’s also not set that all of the underclassmen will return. In the era of the transfer portal, anything can change. The NCAA will close the transfer portal for men’s basketball on May 11, with the new transfer windows.

West Virginia has three visits set for the next couple of weeks. Syracuse transfer Jesse Edwards will be in Morgantown starting Friday and lasting throughout the weekend. Iowa State’s Caleb Grill will come into town on Sunday, leaving next Tuesday. Pitt transfer big John Hugley is still scheduled to visit from April 21-23.

WVSN will keep you up to date on the latest news as West Virginia’s roster is still being constructed.
