The WVU baseball program gained its second transfer commitment of the week late Wednesday night. After adding a star outfielder, West Virginia brings in an arm to bolster its 2026 pitching staff.

Right handed pitcher Chansen Cole will move up from Division II after starting his college career at Newberry College this past season. He announced his commitment by posting a graphic on social media.

A South Carolina native, Cole recorded 97 strikeouts and just 21 walks ย in about 90 innings pitched.

For his highlight performances, Cole had a 15-strikeout game in a six-inning outing in February. He only allowed seven home runs all season.
