WVU C Jesse Edwards (right wrist) was seen warming up an hour prior to the Kansas game on Saturday afternoon. Edwards is also dressed to play against the Jayhawks.

Edwards has been off the court since fracturing his right wrist against UMass on Dec. 16. Edwards had successful surgery the following week and was originally ruled out for approximately four weeks.

WVU interim HC Josh Eilert has been cautious during Edwards’ recovery process.

“He’s got one more week with a brace. Even with a brace, he’s had no mobility with it. He’s had no rehab with it so it hasn’t moved in four weeks. Once that brace comes off then the rehab starts,” Eilert said last week.

“We’ve got to do right by Jesse. We don’t want to force the issue,” he added.

Edwards is currently in his fifth season of college basketball, his first and only with West Virginia. Edwards is averaging 14.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks through the first 10 games of the season.

West Virginia and No. 3 Kansas will tipoff at 4 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
