WVU Football Among Large Group to Reach Out to ACC Transfer DL

For another transfer player for WVU football fans to keep an eye on, West Virginia is one of a handful of notable programs to reach out to Boston College defensive lineman Sterling Sanders.

Representing Sanders, Nilson Sports publicized at least 14 schools who have made contact with their client. West Virginia stands out on that list as one of the most recognizable Power Four brands interested in Sanders.

In addition to WVU, the 6-foot-4 and 291-pound Sanders has also heard from Cincinnati, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State and Washington out of major conferences and the likes of Coast Carolina, Georgia Southern, FAU, Hawaii, Jacksonville State, JMU, Marshall, North Texas and UAB as well.

The South Carolina native appeared in just one game in 2025 and maintained his redshirt status. He should bring four years of eligibility with him at his next school.
